THE PAINTER

My explorations into painting began about ten years ago. Although chalk pastel is my favorite medium, I also enjoy using watercolor, water-based oil and acrylic paint. I am a member of the Peninsula Art League and the Northwest Pastel Society. I enjoy using my photography skills to capture interesting compositions and details that can then be translated in paint. Years of college level courses in color theory, drawing, design and painting have given me an excellent foundation for exploring many artistic mediums.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

I have been a professional photographer and teacher since 1969. I hold a Fellow of Photography Degree with the Professional Photographers of Washington and I’ve won many awards for my images. One of my passions is black and white portraiture of children and families. My niche is in environmental photography, where my subjects are in intimate contact with their surroundings. The images that I capture reflect singular moments in time, compelling records of daily life. I also create images for commercial use, as postcards, calendars and brochures. I travel extensively, finding great pleasure capturing images from all corners of the globe.

THE AUTHOR and WORLD TRAVELLER

“Have camera, will travel” is my motto. My husband and I have travelled all over the world. Click on the image to the right to see my photographs of exotic locales such as Antarctica, Mexico, South America and Venice.
