Painter and Photographer

Pat is a photographer with 40 years of experience combining her love of nature and color in classic Northwest imagery.  Her rapport with people and a strong sense of design is revealed in her specialty, black and white portraiture.  Pat has numerous published images (postcards, books, posters and calendars) and awards to her credit.  She has earned the degree of Fellow of Photography with the Professional Photographers of Washington.   Her newest adventure is experimental and computer enhanced photography, which combines her talents in both media.

Pat has expanded her artistic endeavors to include painting and is an enthusiastic student of the arts.  Her schooling has included color theory, design, drawing and painting.  Her choices of painting media include pastel, transparent watercolor and gouache.

Pat has unlimited creative energy which she actively shares.  She is a member of the Peninsula Art League in Gig Harbor, the Professional Photographers of Washington and the Northwest Pastel Society.  Pat has taught photography at Charles Wright Academy, Annie Wright School and Tacoma Community College-Gig Harbor campus, and currently teaches photography via the internet.

Pat and husband Bill are avid travelers.  They have visited all seven continents adding images to Pat’s collection of stock photography and innumerable ideas to her personal creative file.
